Introduction

Welcome to the Tortoise Home Website. This website is my personal website that is devoted to my love of native and non-native turtles and
tortoises throughout the world. It is my passion to help educate those who may have an interest in turtles and tortoises. Even though I have been
working with turtles and tortoises for over 20 years, I learn every day and I love to share that valuable info to everyone.

The Tortoise Home website was started on March 1st, 2011 as a personal project to help educate new and current turtle and tortoise lovers.   My
goal is to have a one stop website that can provide info such as current events, care-sheets, newsletters, pictures and info on our California
native aquatic turtle, the Western Pond Turtle.

In the years I have been working with reptiles, turtles and tortoises, I have learned there is no single way to keep reptiles. There are a few right
ways but there is always several wrong ways.   In my site, I will try to educate about various ways that have worked for me or others to provide the
best suitable care and husbandry possible.   I am always open to new ideas and information to pass along to everyone so if you have personal
experiences that you would like to share please let me know.

I have been fortunate to work with several species of turtles and tortoises though out the years. It is always an honor to work with new species
and learn everything I can about them, even their native homelands and how they evolved. With all my experiences and knowledge of turtles and
tortoises, each and every day I learn something new.
